This bike was designed for a rider who wanted to follow group rides, ride to work (on our terrible roads) and hit small trails when they pop up.
We started this build with our gravel bike, the Garnotte. Its manoeuvrability, speed and comfort is the perfect bike for this rider. We settled on a 1X groupset for its simplicity and some medium wide tires that would to keep speed yet easily go on grass and dirt.
The crankset is a FSA Gossamer Pro with a 44T chainring. We chose a bigger chainring so that the 1X would be able to tackle group rides. The 10-50 cassette still has plenty of gears to hit any dirt terrain.
The wheelset has White Industries XMRs as its core couple with Freedom GCX30 rims that allow for wider tires. The tires that we put on have small knobs which allow the rider to go anywhere he wants.
